a. Chain of responsibility: Sequence of responsibilities to achieve integrated waste management, which is a social co-responsibility, requiring the joint, coordinated, and differentiated participation of all producers, importers, distributors, consumers, waste managers, both public and private, as well as municipalities for the purpose of implementing the Principle of Extended Producer Responsibility.
b. Value Chain: Complete sequence of activities or parties that provide or receive value in the form of products or services.
c. Marketer: Natural or legal person, public or private, dedicated to distributing or marketing a good that generates waste contemplated in Annex I of this regulation.
d. Composition: It is the complexity and diversity of components or parts that constitute the waste and influence its management.
e. Packaging: It is any container or support that contains or stores a product, protects the merchandise, facilitates its transport, helps to distinguish it from other articles, and presents the product for sale. It is any receptacle, can, box, or wrapping suitable for containing some material or article.
f. Special equipment: Self-propelled equipment intended to perform agricultural, civil works, and forest or airport emergency response tasks.

Forms of use: Understood as the current or potential use of the waste or its parts.

Triple Rinsing: Rinsing process for empty pesticide containers consisting of repeating 3 times the following steps: 1- Add water up to one quarter of the container, 2-Close the container and shake it for 30 seconds, and 3-Empty the content into the equipment tank and let it drain for 30 seconds by placing it over the equipment tank. Subsequently, perforate the container so that it cannot be used again and let it dry to take it to the nearest collection center.

Compliance unit: It is a legal structure formed by one or more producers and importers, having the responsibility to establish the mechanisms and actions that guarantee the integrated management of their respective waste and its sustainability. The Compliance Unit is an operational structure that allows compliance with the Principle of Extended Producer Responsibility, and with the national technical, sanitary, and environmental guidelines.
