The plan approval (visado) requirements for the construction of buildings in the Maritime Terrestrial Zone are those established in the following laws:

- d)General Public Roads Law N° 5060, article 19.
- e)Civil Aviation Law N° 5150, article 18.
- f)Forestry Law (Ley Forestal) N° 7575, articles 33 and 34.
- g)Law of the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers N° 2726 of 14 April 1961 and its amendments, article 21.
- h)Law on Acquisitions and Expropriations and Constitution of Easements (Servidumbres) of the Costa Rican Institute of Electricity N° 6313, article 23.
