a- The presence of unauthorized persons or groups of persons on the beach, especially in the nesting areas between 6 p.m. and 5 a.m., during the spawning and hatching period of the Leatherback turtle.
b- The use of spotlights, flashlights, photographic and video cameras by those persons who have not been authorized by the refuge administration.
c- Loud noises and abrupt movements during the walk along the beach and during the observation of the turtle.
d- The transit of tourists and visitors through the turtle egg incubation area, the upper part of the beach.
e- The observation of a turtle that has not been assigned for this purpose by MINAE officials, as well as trying to look at it and illuminate it from the front, touching it, or modifying the structure of the nest.
f- The entry of persons who are intoxicated.
g- Driving by a tourist promoter who is under the influence of alcoholic beverages, drugs, or stimulant substances. Non-compliance with this provision shall empower the Ministry of Environment and Energy to expel from the Refuge and cancel the tourist promoter's permit of anyone who incurs in this, within the Protected Wild Area.
h- Building campfires, carrying out any type of recreational activity in the dune zones, or camping within the limits of the protected area.
i- The observation of the turtle while it is in the nesting process, when it builds its bed, nor in the stages of camouflage and return to the sea, with the exception of those previously authorized by the administration.
