"Article 3. The inland waters and the area of the Territorial Sea corresponding to the marine protected wild areas located there and established in accordance with the law, and the Natural Heritage of the State, shall form part of the Conservation Areas with coastal littorals. The foregoing, without detriment to the attention of the other powers granted by Law to MINAE through SINAC. Within their territories, based on environmental legislation and with an ecosystemic approach, they shall participate in the processes carried out within the scope of marine spatial planning." "Article 14. In the case of the Gulf of Nicoya and the protected wild areas located in the marine area, the responsibility shall be distributed between the Tempisque Conservation Area, the Arenal Tempisque Conservation Area, and the Central Pacific Conservation Area as defined by the National Council of Conservation Areas (CONAC). As to their powers, they shall be framed within the Protected Wild Areas established there and the Natural Heritage of the State, without detriment to the attention of the other powers granted by Law to MINAE through SINAC."
