The correct interpretation of the following table, regarding approvals and/or denials subject to one or more specific conditions or exceptions represented by a number, shall be read as follows:
- In cases where "yes, conditional" is indicated, it shall be interpreted that the activity is compatible with the zoning and must comply with one or more specific conditions for its development.
- In cases where "no, with exception" is indicated, it shall be interpreted that the activity is not consistent with the zoning, but one or more exceptions may exist that permit its development.

Name and qualifications of the applicant; if it is a legal entity, the data of its legal representative must be included. . Certification of legal status when applicable. . Exact location of the facilities. . Brief description and photographs of the facilities. . Certification from the Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía indicating that the facilities are not located in a protected area. . Emergency Plan to be applied in case of an accident with firearms. . Present a certification issued by the Cruz Roja Costarricense or by a private medical services company, guaranteeing a timely response in the event of an accident at the shooting range. . Sketch of the facilities that includes the implemented security measures and their location. To obtain the Commercial License Certificate (Certificado de la Patente Comercial), the following requirements must be met: . They will only be permitted in indoor facilities. . Reaction shooting ranges (neither open-air nor indoor) will not be permitted. . Clay pigeon shooting ranges (neither open-air nor indoor) will not be permitted. . The shooting range must have a security area at the rear and sides, guaranteeing the safety of neighbors and passersby. . The distance between the back wall and the target may not be less than 5 m. . The distance between the firing point and the target may not be less than 10 m; there must be a natural or artificial barrier behind the target at least 20 m high and of adequate thickness according to the weapons and ammunition used. . On the sides of the shooting area, there must be artificial barriers with resistant materials to withstand the impact and stop the bullets. . For each shooter, individual cubicles must be constructed, at least one and a half meters long, whose walls and ceiling protect persons who may be at the sides, and prevent an involuntary shot upwards at an angle greater than forty-five degrees. . The walls must have the technical means that allow sound absorption, both towards the outside and in its rebound towards the user.
