For the purposes of this Regulation, the following terms mean:
Subscriber (Abonado): The natural or legal person who owns the property, lot, or building of any nature to which the potable water service is provided.
Contribution (Aporte): Collaboration in materials or money, a right that the Municipality reserves the right to request from new subscribers (abonados) for the improvement or provision of the service.
Department: Public Services Unit, area of the Department Public Services Unit Area of the Municipal Aqueduct Department Connection fee (Derecho de conexión): Term used to describe the value or sum of cash that the subscriber (abonado) must pay in advance to the Municipality for connecting the potable water service to their property.
Reconnection fee (Derecho de re conexión): Term used to describe the value or sum of cash that the subscriber (abonado) must pay in advance to the Municipality for the reconnection of the potable water service that was suspended.
Property (Finca): Land or plot, with or without its respective building, duly individualized and registered in the Public Registry of Property.
Independization (Independización): The new water connection(s) (pajas de agua) required to serve one or more physical segregations of a property (finca).
Installations: The system of pipes and accessories for both public networks and intra-domiciliary ones of the aqueduct.
Domiciliary installation (Instalación domiciliaria): Internal potable water system of the domiciles.
Lot (Lote): Property (Finca), portion of land duly registered in the Public Registry of Property or individually materialized.
Municipality (Municipalidad): Municipality of Paraíso.
Water connection (Paja de agua): The piping and accessories between the aqueduct distribution network and the boundary of the property with the public road.
Stub-out (Prevista): The piping and accessories between the main pipe and the boundary of the property with the public road, which is left installed for a future service connection.
Branch line (Ramal): The extension or increase in length of the aqueduct distribution network, which becomes necessary for the service to the property.
Aqueduct service: Potable water supply that is provided by the Municipality to the subscriber (abonado) or user.
Service suspension: Temporary deprivation of the potable water service.
Water use: It is the principal purpose that the subscriber (abonado) or the Municipality of Paraíso determines is given to the potable water service, which is classified as:
1- Residential or domiciliary.
2- Ordinary.
3- Reproductive.
4- Preferential.
5- Government.
User: Is the natural or legal person who uses the water services, and may or may not be the subscriber (abonado).
