IT IS AGREED:
1º-The importation of vessels for commercial longline fishing and shrimp fishing activities will be permitted, with the aim of replacing vessels that hold valid fishing permits or licenses whose fishing gear is longline or trawl, as applicable, insofar as compliance with the applicable legal provisions on the matter is met under the following conditions:
a. The importation of fishing vessels built of wood of any size shall not be permitted.
b. (Repealed by agreement A.J.D.I.P/155-2012 of March 29, 2012) c. (Repealed by agreement A.J.D.I.P/155-2012 of March 29, 2012) 2º-For the purposes of importation and replacement of vessels, the maximum length overall (eslora) increase permitted per vessel according to the provisions of agreement AJDIP/308-97 of November 26, 1997, and its amendments, must be respected, defined as fifty percent more length overall (eslora) than the vessel to be replaced, provided that the new vessel does not exceed 24 meters of total linear length overall (eslora), as defined supra.
3º-(Repealed by agreement A.J.D.I.P/155-2012 of March 29, 2012) 4º-The replacement of small-scale, medium-scale, advanced, and semi-industrial vessels shall not be permitted when the new vessel does not comply with the provisions relating to the type of license held by the permit holder; in any event, the replacement of the vessel shall never imply the modification of the license to one different from the original.

SE ACUERDA:

Considerando:

5º-Deróguese toda disposición anterior que se contraponga a esta disposición.
