(This Agreement was thus amended by Agreement AJDIP/329-2016).
Considering:
Edwin Salazar Serrano, Head of the Protection and Registration Department, for the adoption of a proposed Agreement allowing for the regulation of engine replacements for those vessels belonging to the small-scale artisanal fleet that operate within the Gulf of Nicoya.
AGREES:
However, in exceptional cases, duly justified and where the advisability or technical reasonableness of using an engine of greater horsepower than that indicated is determined, it will be permitted for those fishers who carry out their activity in the outer part of the inner part of the Gulf of Nicoya.

Considerando:
Edwin Salazar Serrano, Jefe del Departamento de Protección y Registro, para la adopción de una propuesta de Acuerdo que permita la regulación de las sustituciones de motores para aquellas embarcaciones perteneciente a la flota artesanal en pequeña escala que faenen dentro del Golfo de Nicoya.
Directivos, que resulta conveniente avalar la propuesta planteada razón por la cual, la Junta Directiva, en uso de sus facultades y competencias, Por tanto; ACUERDA:
No obstante en caso excepcionales, debidamente justificados y que se determine la conveniencia o razonabilidad técnica de utilizar un motor de caballaje mayor al indicado se permitirá para aquellos pescadores que ejerzan su actividad en la parte externa de la parte interna del Golfo de Nicoya.
