a. Traditional garbage: Solid waste generated traditionally, including paper, cardboard, plastic, food, and organic waste, which is the result of the daily activities of the various housing units, licensees (patentados), and state public or non-public, non-private entities.
b. Category: Classification of a taxpayer according to the estimated garbage generated per week.
c. Waste: Traditional garbage.
d. Bulky waste: All waste products from the cleaning of green areas, branches, trunks, undergrowth, scrap metal, household appliances, furniture, remodeling waste, rubble, construction waste, formwork lumber, metal sheets, reinforcing bars, and others, which can be considered inert.
e. Special waste: Refers to all those indicated in Article No. 6, of Chapter II, of the Regulation on garbage management, according to Executive Decree No. 19049-S, of July 7, 1989. Among which pathogenic, toxic, combustible, flammable, handling due to its condition.
f. Generation factor: The range in which a user is placed depending on the estimated amount of garbage produced per week, taking as a basis the estimated garbage generation for a housing unit.
g. Weighting factor: Equivalent units according to the garbage generation of a given location, taking as a basis the estimated garbage generation for a housing unit.
h. Municipality: Municipality of Osa.
i. Collection service: Transportation service for solid waste, collection of traditional garbage.
j. Final disposal service: Waste management service at the sanitary landfill (relleno sanitario), which may be for traditional waste or bulky (non-traditional) waste.
k. Rate for traditional waste collection and final disposal services by category: Charge to the taxpayer in proportion to the estimated amount of waste generated per week.
