This Board of Directors is considering the Request for Delegation of the Administration of the Aqueduct and Sewer System.
Whereas:
Article 264 of the General Public Health Law, Articles 17, 32, 33, 148, and following of the Water Law (Ley de Aguas) N° 276 of August 24, 1942, the General Potable Water Law, and the Regulation for the Administering Associations of the Communal Aqueduct and Sewer Systems (Reglamento de la Asociaciones Administradoras de los Sistemas de Acueductos y Alcantarillados Comunales) N° 39529-S-MINAE, published in La Gaceta N° 150 of August 5, 2005, it is established that AyA is the Governing Body in everything relating to Aqueduct and Sewer Systems throughout the National territory, and is empowered to delegate the administration of such systems to organizations duly constituted for that purpose.
