in the entirety of the text - Full Text of Regulation 34204 Repeal of Executive Decree No. 27485-MINAE, and of subsections A) and B) of article 10 of Executive Decree No. 30077-MINAE, and Amendment of article 20 of Executive Decree No. 33525-MINAE, published in Gazette No. 31 of February 13, 2007 Full Text record: B49B5 No. 34204 No. 34204 THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY Pursuant to subsections 3) and 18) of article 140 of the Political Constitution and in accordance with the provisions contained in the Organic Law of the Environment No. 7554 of October 4, 1995, the Forestry Law (Ley Forestal) No. 7575 of February 13, 1996, the National Parks Service Law No. 6084 of August 24, 1977, the Wildlife Conservation Law No. 7317 of October 30, 1992, and the Biodiversity Law No. 7788 of April 30, 1998.
I.-That the State, through the Ministry of Environment and Energy, has the constitutional obligation to promote the protection and conservation of natural resources, as well as to ensure a healthy environment for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
II.-That for the fulfillment of this provision, the legal framework designates as necessary the active, conscious, and responsible participation of civil society through those persons and organizations interested in assisting in the application of the laws governing the matter and the achievement of its objectives.
III.-That said participation must be coordinated and directed by the Ministry of Environment and Energy in pursuit of ensuring that it is always carried out in accordance with the law and with effective and broad participation.
IV.-That under these premises, the Ministry of Environment and Energy established the Directorate of Civil Society as responsible for these participation processes, through Executive Decrees No. 27485-MINAE of October 13, 1998, and No. 30077-MINAE of January 16, 2002, in which it was integrated as part of the administrative structure of MINAE attached to the Ministerial Office.
