- Fishing vessels built of wood may not be imported, regardless of their size.
- Vessels built of any other material may only be imported if they measure equal to or greater than 65 feet in length (eslora).
- Imported vessels for the purpose of replacing commercial fishing vessels may have a maximum measurement of thirty meters in length (eslora) (. feet).
- For purposes of importation and replacement of vessels, the maximum increase in length (eslora) permitted per vessel must be respected, according to the provisions of agreement AJDIP 308-97 of November 26, 1997 and its amendments, defined as fifty percent more than the length (eslora) of the vessel to be replaced. The maximum permitted length (eslora) that was previously set at 24 meters is hereby rendered without effect.
- The limitations or regulations regarding the size of vessels that exist for specific zones and type of vessels remain in force as they were issued.
