IT IS AGREED:
Considering:
a- During the period from October 1st to October 31st of 2003, artisanal fishing is prohibited using any fishing gear, whether trammel net (trasmallo), handline, or hand line. This regulation applies to the area between an imaginary straight line running from Punta Torres (84°43'52" W, 9°53'31" N) to Punta Cuchillos (84°51'50" W, 9°49'36" N) and from there inshore to the western end of said Gulf on the Península de Nicoya (Mouth of the Río Tempisque).
b- During the period from September 12th to September 30th of the current year, the use of handlines is permitted during the twenty-four hours of the day, and the use of bottom longline (Planera) is permitted only during the day (from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), with a maximum of 100 number 6 hooks or smaller, both types of fishing gear in the zone between an imaginary straight line running from the cruise ship pier of the City of Puntarenas (84°49'51" W, 9°58'26" N) to the place known as Punta Llorona (84°54'20" W, 9°51'45" N) and from it to the western end of said Gulf on the Península de Nicoya (mouth of the Río Tempisque).

SE ACUERDA:
Considerando:

b- Durante el período comprendido del 12 de setiembre al 30 de setiembre del año en curso, se permitirá el uso de cuerdas de mano, durante las veinticuatro horas del día y la utilización de línea de fondo (Planera), únicamente de día esta última (de las 6:00 a las 18:00 horas), con un máximo de 100 anzuelos número 6 o inferior, ambos artes de pesca en la zona comprendida entre una línea recta imaginaria que va desde el muelle de cruceros de la Ciudad de Puntarenas (84º49´51´´W , 9º58´26´´N) hasta el lugar conocido como Punta Llorona (84º54´20´´W , 9º51´45´´N) y de ella hasta el extremo occidental de dicho Golfo en la Península de Nicoya (desembocadura del Río Tempisque).
