Considering:
Caño Island and its surroundings justifies its protection to achieve the aforementioned objectives.
THEY DECREE:
Therefore,
5357-A of October 31, 1975, is hereby expanded to include Caño Island, located in the district of Sierpe, third of the canton of Osa, 59 of the Province of Puntarenas, situated in the Pacific Ocean, 53 kilometers from the City of Cortés , at a bearing South 48 degrees West and intersected by latitude eight degrees forty minutes eight seconds, with a distance of three thousand twenty meters, and by longitude eighty-three degrees fifty minutes and twenty seconds, with a distance of one thousand twenty meters, and by longitude eighty-three degrees fifty minutes and twenty seconds with a distance of one thousand six hundred meters, comprising the insular territory and the surrounding waters to a depth of 30 meters .
