With the approval of the Attorney General of the Republic, I refer to your Official Letter No. AMB-279-2014 of July 10, 2015, in which you request our opinion on the bill: “Authentic interpretation of articles 19, subsection b) and 34 of the Forest Law, No. 7575 of February 5, 1996,” legislative file No. 18445.
In this regard, I would like to point out that the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic had already expressed its opinion on this file through legal opinion No. OJ-067-2012 of September 28, 2012. Since there has been no modification to the wording of said legislative proposal according to the text you now attach, the assessments set forth in the aforementioned pronouncement remain valid, to which we refer the Members of that Commission.

Con aprobación de la señora Procuradora General de la República, me refiero a su Oficio No. AMB-279-2014 de 10 de julio de 2015, donde consulta nuestro criterio sobre el proyecto de ley: “Interpretación auténtica de los artículos 19, inciso b) y 34 de la Ley Forestal, No. 7575 del 5 de febrero de 1996”, expediente legislativo No. 18445.
Al respecto me permito indicarle que ya la Procuraduría General de la República se había manifestado sobre este expediente mediante la opinión jurídica No. OJ-067-2012 de 28 de setiembre de 2012. Al no existir modificación alguna en la redacción de dicha propuesta legislativa según el texto que ahora nos adjunta, resultan válidas las apreciaciones vertidas en el indicado pronunciamiento, al cual remitirnos a los señores Diputados integrantes de esa Comisión.
