39724 -MOPT-MINAE-S, "Regulation for the Control of Pollutant Emissions Produced by Vehicles with Internal Combustion Engines", published in Supplement No. 87, to La Gaceta No. 103, of May 30, 2016, so that henceforth it reads as follows:
"Article 6.- Technical specifications of emission reduction systems for compression-ignition vehicles: Diesel-powered vehicles entering the country as of January 1, 2018, that have an injection pump with a mechanical controller, must have seals on the pump adjustment elements.
If they have an exhaust gas recirculation system and/or engine crankcase ventilation system, or other technologies that produce equivalent effects, these systems must not be eliminated.
Diesel-powered vehicles entering the country as of January 1 of 2018 must have an exhaust gas recirculation system, engine crankcase ventilation system, and injection pump with electronic controller, or other technologies that produce equivalent effects. As of January 1, 2022, they must also have a three-way catalytic converter and particulate filter, or other technologies that produce equivalent effects."
