ADDITION OF A FINAL PARAGRAPH TO ARTICLE 85 OF THE PHYTOSANITARY PROTECTION LAW, LAW No. 7664, OF APRIL 8, 1997, AND ITS AMENDMENTS SINGLE ARTICLE.- A final paragraph is added to Article 85 of the Phytosanitary Protection Law, No. 7664, of April 8, 1997, and its amendments, the text of which shall read:
"Article 85.- Prohibition for professionals of the State Phytosanitary Service (Servicio Fitosanitario del Estado) [.]
Said prohibition shall be paid in accordance with the economic compensation established in Law No. 5867, of December 15, 1975, and the provisions of Law No. 8422, Law Against Corruption and Illicit Enrichment in Public Service, of October 6, 2004, shall apply to it.
The difference resulting from moving from the exclusive dedication incentive with respect to the base salary to the prohibition must be covered with the State Phytosanitary Service's own resources." It shall take effect upon its publication.
Given at the Presidency of the Republic, San José, on the fifteenth day of the month of May of the year two thousand thirteen.

ADICIÓN DE UN PÁRRAFO FINAL AL ARTÍCULO 85 DE LA LEY DE PROTECCIÓN FITOSANITARIA, LEY N.° 7664, DE 8 DE ABRIL DE 1997, Y SUS REFORMAS ARTÍCULO ÚNICO.- Se adiciona un párrafo final al artículo 85 de la Ley de Protección Fitosanitaria, N.° 7664, de 8 de abril de 1997, y sus reformas, cuyo texto dirá:
"Artículo 85.- Prohibición para los profesionales del Servicio [.]
Dicha prohibición será pagada conforme a la compensación económica establecida en la Ley N.º 5867, de 15 de diciembre de 1975, y le aplicará lo establecido en la Ley N.º 8422, Ley Contra la Corrupción y el Enriquecimiento Ilícito en la Función Pública, de 6 de octubre de 2004.
La diferencia resultante de pasar del incentivo de dedicación exclusiva con respecto al salario base a la prohibición, deberá ser cubierta con recursos propios del Servicio Fitosanitario del Estado." Rige a partir de su publicación.
