Communal Areas (Áreas Comunales): Those intended for public use, apart from streets and roads, for educational, health, worship, recreation, security, charity, and similar purposes.

Municipality (Municipalidad): State legal entity with territorial jurisdiction over a canton. The head town of the canton is the seat of the Municipal government. It is responsible for the administration of local services and interests, in order to promote the comprehensive development of the cantons in harmony with national development.
Municipality of Esparza (Municipalidad de Esparza): Legal entity that administers the services and interests in the jurisdiction of the Canton of Esparza.
Subdivision (Fraccionamiento): Division of any property for the purpose of selling, transferring, negotiating, distributing, exploiting, or using the resulting parcels separately; it includes both judicial or extrajudicial adjudication partitions, allocations of undivided rights, and mere segregations under the same owner, as well as those located in developments or new constructions that concern the control of the formation and urban use of real estate.
Urbanization (Urbanización): Subdivision and development of land for urban purposes, through the opening of streets and provision of services such as electricity, potable water, sewerage, and garbage collection.
Green Zones (Zonas Verdes): These are the free lands, considered as such in urban planning, whose area is unbuildable.
