in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Norm 36416 Declares the “Recovery Project of the La Sabana Metropolitan Park” to be of public interest Complete Text of Act: D9777 N° 36416-MP-MD THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, THE MINISTER OF THE PRESIDENCY AND THE MINISTER OF SPORT Exercising the powers and attributions conferred upon them by Articles 140 and 146 of the Political Constitution, numerals 25, 27 subsection 1, 28 subsection 2)> paragraph b) of the General Law of Public Administration,
I.—That by means of Agreement N° 6 of the ordinary session N° 739-2010, of January 13, 2011, held by the National Council for Sport and Recreation, it was agreed to recommend to the Ministry of Sport, so that through the Ministry of the Presidency, the Declaration of Public Interest be made for the reforestation (rearborización) project of the La Sabana Metropolitan Park.
II.—This reforestation project, named the “Recovery Project of the La Sabana Metropolitan Park,” consists of the rehabilitation of its safety, health, and ecological functionality through inter-institutional and gradual intervention with actions of sanitation, reforestation, maintenance, communication, monitoring, and evaluation.
III.—The direct beneficiaries of the project are made up of approximately two million annual users of La Sabana Park. This population can be classified into several groups according to the purpose of their visit: athletes, families, participants in public events, students, tourists, and small merchants.
IV.—This project will broadly impact the integral development of the inhabitants of the Greater Metropolitan Area (Gran Área Metropolitana, GAM) by providing them with an ecologically safe and diverse space for recreation and entertainment, which reflects both the natural and social values of the country. And its main objective will be to recover and maintain the safety and ecological functionality of the forest resources and other minor species of the La Sabana Metropolitan Park without reducing the social, sports, and recreational function that the park provides to its visitors. Therefore, THEY DECREE:

I.-Que mediante Acuerdo N° 6 de la sesión ordinaria N° 739-2010 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 739-2010 end_of_the_skype_highlighting, del 13 de enero del 2011, celebrada por el Consejo Nacional del Deporte y la Recreación, acordó recomendar al Ministerio del Deporte, para que por medio del Ministerio de la Presidencia se proceda a la Declaratoria de Interés Público del proyecto de rearborización del Parque Metropolitano La Sabana.
II.-Este proyecto de rearborización denominado como "Proyecto de Recuperación del Parque Metropolitano La Sabana", consiste en la rehabilitación de su seguridad, sanidad, y funcionalidad ecológica mediante la intervención interinstitucional y gradual con acciones de saneamiento, rearborización, mantenimiento, comunicación, monitoreo y evaluación.
III.-Los beneficiarios directos del proyecto "están constituidos por aproximadamente dos millones de usuarios anuales del Parque La Sabana. Esta población puede clasificarse en varios grupos según el fin de su visita: deportistas, familias, participantes de eventos públicos, estudiantes, turistas y pequeños comerciantes.
IV.-El presente proyecto impactará de forma general el desarrollo integral de los habitantes de la Gran Área Metropolitana (GAM) brindándoles un espacio ecológicamente seguro y diverso para la recreación y el entretenimiento, que refleje tanto los valores naturales como sociales del país. Y su objetivo principal será recuperar y mantener la seguridad, y la funcionalidad ecológica de los recursos forestales, y otras especies menores del Parque Metropolitano La Sabana sin reducir la función social, deportiva y recreativa que el parque aporta a sus visitantes.
