1. 1That the First World Gathering for Forests, called "Chico Mendes", organized by the Youth Foundation for Sports and the Environment, YFSE by its English acronym, is aimed at using educational mechanisms to inform and create ecological awareness among youth and the general public, about the importance of protecting forests and the conservation of the planet's resources.
2. 2That the objective of this event is to guide the younger generations through appropriate educational activities, placing special emphasis on recycling, the reuse of waste, the cleaning of rivers and their basins, as well as tree planting, among others, thereby seeking to bring about a change for the well-being of the planet.
3. 3That this activity seeks, in turn, to raise awareness about the urgency of saving forests, as a fundamental element of human life, and about the risks of continuing to systematically pollute the planet.
4. 4That the First World Gathering for Forests, a tribute event to Chico Mendes, defender of the Brazilian Amazon, requires official support, due to the global significance of the ecological, conservationist, and planet-protection vision of Costa Rican policies.
5. 5That for organizational reasons, said event could not take place on the agreed dates, making it imperative to change its dates. Therefore,

1. 1Que el Primer Encuentro Mundial por los Bosques, denominado "Chico Mendes", organizado por la Fundación para la Juventud, el Ambiente y los Deportes, YFSE por sus siglas en inglés, está orientado a utilizar mecanismos educativos para informar y crear conciencia ecológica en la juventud y público en general, sobre la importancia de proteger los bosques y acerca de la conservación de los recursos del planeta.
2. 2Que el objetivo de este evento es orientar a las jóvenes generaciones por medio de actividades educativas apropiadas, poniendo un énfasis especial en el reciclaje, la reutilización de los desechos, la limpieza de los ríos y sus cuencas, así como la siembra de árboles, entre otros, pretendiendo con esto, provocar un cambio para el bienestar del planeta.
3. 3Que esta actividad, pretende a su vez crear conciencia sobre la urgencia de salvar los bosques, como elemento primordial de la vida humana y acerca de los riesgos de continuar contaminando sistemáticamente el planeta.
4. 4Que el Primer Encuentro Mundial por los bosques, evento tributo a Chico Mendes, defensor de la Amazonia brasileña, requiere el apoyo oficial, por la trascendencia al mundo del enfoque ecológico, conservacionista y con visión de protección al planeta, de las políticas costarricenses.
5. 5Que por cuestiones de organización, dicho evento no podrá llevarse a cabo en las fechas convenidas, por lo que resulta imperativo variar las fechas del mismo. Por tanto,
