The islands Larga or Picuda, Gemelas, Olocuita, Mogote and Serrucho are considered an integral part of this National Park, as are the territorial waters between the two points on the coast that serve as its boundary”).
2. By Article 1 of Decreto Ejecutivo N° 29177 of November 17, 2000, “the Manuel Antonio National Park is expanded with the lands comprising the following description made based on the Cartographic Sheets of the IGN, scale 1:50,000, Quepos-edition 2-IGN-CR, and Savegre- edition 1-IGN-CR, starting from a point (1) of Lambert Costa Rica Sur coordinates 370000 North (N) and 450300 East (E), a point located on the current boundary of the Park and on the right bank of the Río Naranjo, from here it continues along the edge of a mangrove swamp that the Quepos sheet describes, that is, passing through points such as: 370000N-450200E (2) 370350N-450250E (3) 370550N-450200E (4) 370600N-450480E (5) Point (5) located again on the right bank of the Río Naranjo and from here it goes in a straight line to the other bank of the river to point 370600N-450600E (6), which coincides with the northern limit of a mangrove swamp also indicated on said cartographic sheet. It continues along this edge of that mangrove swamp passing through the coordinate points: 370800N-450800E (7) 370650N-451100E (8) 370800N-451300E (9) 370400N-451400E (10) 370200N-451100E (11) 370200N-451000E (12) 370100N-451000E (13) From this point (13) it continues bordering the mangrove, involving a strip of 200 meters from the north edge of the Estero Negro and Quebrada Cacao to the coordinate point 369640N-453400 E(14), located on the Quebrada Cacao, to then continue always along a line parallel to and 200 meters from the Quebrada Lagartera, to point 369400N-453800E(15), this one located on the outer edge of a mangrove block (Laguna Negraforral) along which it continues and passes through some points such as: 369750N-454800E(16) 369900N-455750E(17) On arm of the Quebrada Estero Negro 369750N-456400E(18) On arm of Quebrada Lagartera 368300N-455850E(19) From point 19 located on the limit of the maritime-terrestrial zone of Playa Savegre, it continues along this limit heading southeast until intersecting an imaginary line that is 150 meters from the north edge of the Estero Garita, point of coordinates 367350N-457750E (20), to then continue always along that parallel line until finding the right bank of the Quebrada Hacienda point 366950N-459300E(21), to then continue always along that bank upstream until its intersection with the Río Savegre point of coordinates 368300N-459450E (22). From here it goes heading due east, to the other bank of the river along which it continues downstream, until finding the outer edge of another mangrove block at the point of coordinates 367200N-459740E(23), proceeding along that edge passing through some points such as: 367300N-460000E (24) 367000N-459750E (25) 367000N-460000E (26) 366900N-460700E (27) From this point located on the Quebrada Barbudal, it continues downstream to point 366600N-460500E (28), which is 150 meters from the north bank of the Río Savegre, continuing parallel to the river at a distance of 150 meters, until finding the outer edge of a mangrove and swamp block at the point of coordinates 366400N-460900E(29), to then continue along that outer edge passing through some points such as: 366750N-461150E (30) 366900N-461800E (31) 367200N-461900E (32) 367000N-462300E (33) 367300N-462400E (34) 367100N-462800E (35) 366700N-462700E (36) 366550N-463000E (37) 366700N-463300E (38) 366600N-463350E (39) 366400N-463300E (40) 366000N-463700E (41) This last point coincides with the boundary of the Refugio de Fauna Silvestre Mixto Portalón, created by Decreto Ejecutivo #25139-MINAE, along which it continues passing through the points: 365900N-463550E (42) 365800N-463500E (43) 365750N-463500E (44) 365650N-463500E (45) 365550N-463200E (46) 365400N-463100E (47) Point located at the mouth of the Río Portalón and continuing along the coastline passing in a straight line across the mouths of the rivers and along the edge of Playa Savegre until reaching the mouth of the Río Naranjo at the point of coordinates 369750N- 450400E(48), that is, including the maritime zone of that sector. From here it takes a straight line to reach the current boundary of the National Park at the point of coordinates 369800N-450300E(49), along which it continues until reaching the initial point of this description: 370000 North (N) and 450300 East (E) (1)”). 3. By Article 1 of Decreto Ejecutivo N° 29475 of March 27, 2001, “the mouth of the Quebrada Camaronera is added to Manuel Antonio National Park, constituted by the area comprised within the following demarcation, according to the basic maps of the Instituto Geográfico Nacional, scale 1:50,000, Cartographic Sheet Quepos: Starting from a point located on the current boundary of the Park, with Coordinates 371237.075 N and 447200.000 E, it continues by a succession of straight lines over the following vertices: 371237.075 N 447099.221 E 371234.857 N 447088.116 E 371224.219 N 447036.078 E 371217.509 N 447020.580 E 371192.735 N 446902.595 E 371126.423 N 446947.871 E From this point it continues along the shoreline to point 371000.000 N and 447000.000 E, the initial point of the current boundary description”).
