The street furniture existing in parks and other public spaces, which among others comprises benches or concrete bollards (pollos), shelters (ranchos), playground equipment, trash cans, fountains, signage, lanterns and decorative elements, such as ornaments and statues, must be kept in the most adequate and aesthetically pleasing state of conservation. Those who cause deterioration or destroy them, whether intentionally or through improper use, must compensate for the damages and losses caused, and may be reported and sanctioned in accordance with this regulation and the regulations in force. Regarding the conservation of furniture, the following guidelines must be followed:
1. The use of benches contrary to their normal use is not permitted, nor acts that impair or deteriorate their conservation, in a particular manner. Tearing out those anchored to the ground, moving those not fixed to the ground, grouping them disorderly, writing on them, scratching them, painting them or dirtying them, or any form of deterioration.
2. The permitted age range for each playground equipment must be respected, in accordance with what is indicated on the signals established for this purpose, and their use is not permitted by adults or by minors who are outside the permitted range for each specific piece of equipment. The use of the equipment in a manner different from normal, and that endangers the integrity of minors, and/or the proper conservation of the equipment, is also not permitted.
3. Waste, chewing gum, papers and other items must be deposited in the receptacles established for that purpose. Users may not tamper in any way with the waste receptacles, move them, set fire to them, tip them over and tear them out, as well as make inscriptions on them, affix glues or other acts that deteriorate, their decoration or functionality.
4. On elements of street furniture (mobiliario urbano) such as lanterns, reflectors, sculptures, murals, drinking fountains, water fountains, surveillance cameras and decorative elements, mesh fences, gates or enclosures, climbing, getting on, swinging on, painting, writing on or performing any act that soils, impairs, deteriorates or diminishes their use shall not be permitted.
5. Using street furniture (mobiliario urbano), whether walls, shelters (ranchos), public lighting supports, public telephones, and any other element existing in Public Spaces, for the placement of propaganda or advertising shall not be permitted in any case. Authorizations for events may include temporary advertising for community purposes, provided they meet aesthetic criteria and are removed after the activity.
