in the entirety of the text - Full Text of Regulation 271 Amendment Decrees closed season for the extraction of the piangua species "Anadara tuberculosa" and boludo "Anadara similis" COSTA RICAN INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE AJDIP/271-2022.—Puntarenas, on the sixth day of December, two thousand twenty-two.
1.—That by means of Agreement AJDIP/251-2022, dated November 15 of the year 2022, the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture accepts the recommendation issued by the Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Directorate of INCOPESCA, for the purpose of decreeing a closed season (veda) for the extraction of the piangua species "Anadara tuberculosa" and boludo "Anadara similis", in the Mangroves of Purruja, Trocha and Puntarenitas, pertaining to the Gulf of Golfito, for a period of 12 months.
2.—That the referenced Agreement sets forth the main technical, legal and social aspects to be taken into consideration for the establishment of the closed season (veda) in question.
3.—That in AJDIP/251-2022, a period of 12 months was determined for the extension of the closed season (veda); however, the specific time period from which the closed season would take effect, as well as its termination, was not determined.
4.—That by reason of the foregoing, Mr. Miguel Durán Delgado, in his capacity as Director of Fisheries and Aquaculture Management of INCOPESCA, submits official communication INCOPESCA-PE-DOPA-151-2022, by means of which a recommendation is issued so that it be determined that the closed season (veda) for the extraction of the piangua species "Anadara tuberculosa" and boludo "Anadara similis", in the Mangroves Purruja, Trocha and Puntarenitas, pertaining to the Gulf of Golfito, begin as of January 15 of the year 2023 and end on January 14 of the year 2024 inclusive.
5.—That after having heard and analyzed in depth what was presented, the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Therefore, HEREBY RESOLVES:
1.—In addition to what was established by means of Board of Directors Agreement AJDIP/251-2022 and accepting the recommendation issued by the Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Directorate of INCOPESCA, it is determined that the closed season (veda) for the extraction of the piangua species "Anadara tuberculosa" and boludo "Anadara similis", in the Mangroves Purruja, Trocha and Puntarenitas, pertaining to the Gulf of Golfito, begins as of January 15 of the year 2023 and ends on January 14 of the year 2024 inclusive.
2.—Firm agreement.
3.—Let it be published.

ACUERDA:
