throughout the entire text - Complete Text of Norm 255 Creation of the Papagayo Marine Area of Responsible Fishing and its fisheries management plan COSTA RICAN INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE AJDIP/255-2021.-Puntarenas, on the twenty-fourth day of November, two thousand twenty-one.
5º-It corresponds to INCOPESCA as the public institution governing fisheries and aquaculture in our country, to establish management measures for the sustainable use of hydrobiological resources, to protect areas of reproduction, recruitment, and feeding, which favor the increase of species and the increase of their biomass, to guarantee the sustainability of the resource.
6º-The Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, Executive Decree No. 27919-MAG recognizes in its Article 6, the important contribution of small-scale artisanal fishing to the generation of employment, income, and food security. Hence the need for the State to appropriately manage the right of fishermen and fisherwomen, adopting regulatory measures that favor the management and conservation of fishery resources in the waters of national jurisdiction. Therefore, the Board of Directors, AGREES:
1-To approve the Creation of the Papagayo Marine Area of Responsible Fishing (Área Marina de Pesca Responsable Papagayo) and its Fisheries Management Plan (Plan de Ordenamiento Pesquero), in accordance with the information presented by the Person in Charge of the Regional Office of Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, the Research Department of Incopesca, and the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture Extension of Incopesca, before the Board of Directors of INCOPESCA, under the terms and conditions, geographic coordinates, and zoning Papagayo Marine Area of Responsible Fishing. (see attached figure).
2-The Management Plan (Plan de Ordenación) of the Papagayo Marine Area of Responsible Fishing is hereby incorporated.
3-Notify the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture Extension of Incopesca, so that in coordination with the Departments of Incopesca they implement what is stipulated in this agreement.
4-Final Agreement?. Publish.

en la totalidad del texto - Texto Completo Norma 255 Creación del área marina de pesca responsable Papagayo y su plan de ordenamiento pesquero INSTITUTO COSTARRICENSE DE PESCA Y ACUICULTURA AJDIP/255-2021.-Puntarenas, a los veinticuatro días del mes de noviembre de dos mil veintiuno.
5º-Corresponde al INCOPESCA como institución pública rectora de la pesca y la acuicultura en nuestro país, establecer medidas de ordenamiento para el aprovechamiento sostenible de los recursos hidrobiológicos, proteger áreas de reproducción, reclutamiento y alimentación, que favorezcan el incremento de las especies y el aumento de su biomasa, para garantizar la sostenibilidad del recurso.
6º-El Código de Conducta para la Pesca Responsable, Decreto Ejecutivo N° 27919-MAG reconoce en su artículo N° 6, la importante contribución de la pesca artesanal en pequeña escala a la generación de empleo, ingresos y seguridad alimentaria. De ahí la necesidad que el Estado gestione apropiadamente el derecho de los (as) pescadores y pescadoras, adoptando medidas de regulación que favorezcan el manejo y conservación de los recursos pesqueros en las aguas de jurisdicción nacional, Por tanto, la Junta Directiva, ACUERDA:
1-Aprobar la Creación del Área Marina de Pesca Responsable Papagayo y su Plan de Ordenamiento Pesquero, de conformidad con la información presentada por el Encargado de la Oficina Regional de Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, el Departamento de Investigación del Incopesca y el Departamento de Extensión Pesquera y Acuícola del Incopesca, ante la Junta Directiva del INCOPESCA, en los términos y condiciones, coordenadas geográficas y zonificación Área Marina de Pesca Responsable Papagayo. (ver figura adjunta).
2-Téngase por incorporado, el Plan de Ordenación del Área Marina de Pesca Responsable de Papagayo.
3-Comunicar al Departamento de Extensión Pesquera y Acuícola del Incopesca, para en que en coordinación con los Departamentos del Incopesca implementen lo estipulado en el presente acuerdo.
