The urban furniture (mobiliario urbano) existing in parks and other public spaces, which among others includes benches or stone seats (poyos), ranch-style structures (ranchos), children's games, trash cans, fountains, signalizations, lanterns and decorative elements, such as ornaments and statues, must be maintained in the most adequate and aesthetic state of conservation.
Those who cause deterioration or destroy them, whether intentionally or through improper use, must compensate for the damages and losses caused; they may be reported and sanctioned in accordance with these regulations and other applicable regulations. In relation to the conservation of the furniture (mobiliario), the following guidelines must be followed:
1. The use of benches or stone seats (poyos) in a manner contrary to their normal use is not permitted, nor acts that harm or deteriorate their conservation, particularly: Uprooting those that are anchored to the ground, moving those that are not fixed to it, grouping them disorderly, writing on them, scratching them, painting them or dirtying them, or any form of deterioration.
2. The permitted age range for each children's game must be respected, in accordance with what is indicated on the signs established for this purpose, not allowing their use by adults or by minors outside the permitted range for each particular game. The use of the games in a way different from normal, which puts the integrity of minors at risk, and/or the good conservation of the games, shall also not be permitted.
3. Waste, chewing gum, papers and other items must be deposited in the receptacles established for this purpose. Users may not tamper in any way with waste depositories, move them, set fire to them, overturn and uproot them, as well as make inscriptions on them, glue objects, or other acts that deteriorate their decoration or functionality.
4. On elements of urban furniture (mobiliario urbano) such as lanterns, reflectors, sculptures, murals, drinking fountains, water fountains, surveillance cameras and decorative elements, meshes, gates or enclosures, it shall not be permitted to climb, get on, swing on, paint, write, or perform any act that soils, harms, deteriorates or diminishes their use.
5. It shall not be permitted in any case to use urban furniture (mobiliario urbano), be they walls, ranch-style structures (ranchos), public lighting supports, public telephones, and any other element existing in Public Spaces (Espacios Públicos), for the placement of propaganda or advertising.
