TO THE JUDICIAL OFFICES OF THE COUNTRY, COSTA RICA BAR ASSOCIATION, ATTORNEYS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT:
The Full Court, in session Nº 16-2021, held on April 26, 2021, article XII, approved the territorial competence of the Agrarian Court of Puntarenas, Jicaral seat, as well as the change of the territorial competences of the Agrarian Court of Puntarenas and of the Agrarian Court of the Second Judicial Circuit of Guanacaste, Santa Cruz seat.
As a result of the adopted agreement, the provisions of this Court in session Nº 53-2020, held on September 21, 2020, article XV, were modified; therefore, the current territorial competence of the Agrarian Courts of the Second Circuit of Guanacaste, Santa Cruz Seat, Puntarenas, and Puntarenas, Jicaral seat is:
Agrarian Court of the Second Judicial Circuit of Guanacaste (Santa Cruz) Encompasses the cantons of Santa Cruz, Nicoya, and Hojancha.
Of the canton of Nicoya, the districts of Mansión, San Antonio, and Quebrada Honda.
Of the canton of Hojancha, the districts of Hojancha, Monte Romo, Huacas, and Matambú.
Agrarian Court of Puntarenas Encompasses, of the central canton of Puntarenas, the districts of Puntarenas, Pitahaya, Chomes, Manzanillo, Guacimal, Barranca, Monteverde, Isla del Coco, Chacarita, Chira, Acapulco, El Roble, and Arancibia.

A LOS DESPACHOS JUDICIALES DEL PAÍS, COLEGIO DE ABOGADOS Y ABOGADAS DE COSTA RICA, ABOGADOS, ABOGADAS Y PÚBLICO EN GENERAL SE LES HACE SABER QUE:
La Corte Plena en sesión Nº 16-2021, celebrada el 26 de abril de 2021, artículo XII, aprobó la competencia territorial del Juzgado Agrario de Puntarenas, sede Jicaral, así como el cambio de las competencias territoriales del Juzgado Agrario de Puntarenas y del Juzgado Agrario del Segundo Circuito Judicial de Guanacaste, sede Santa Cruz.
Con motivo del acuerdo adoptado, se modificó lo dispuesto por esta Corte en la sesión Nº 53-2020, celebrada el 21 de setiembre de 2020, artículo XV, por lo que la competencia territorial actual de los Juzgados Agrarios del Segundo Circuito de Guanacaste, Sede Santa Cruz, Puntarenas y Puntarenas, sede Jicaral es:
Juzgado Agrario del Segundo Circuito Judicial de Guanacaste (Santa Cruz) Abarca los cantones de Santa Cruz, Nicoya y Hojancha.
Del cantón de Nicoya, los distritos de Mansión, San Antonio y Quebrada Honda.
Del cantón de Hojancha, los distritos de Hojancha, Monte Romo, Huacas y Matambú.
Juzgado Agrario de Puntarenas Abarca del cantón central de Puntarenas, los distritos de Puntarenas, Pitahaya, Chomes, Manzanillo, Guacimal, Barranca, Monteverde, Isla del Coco, Chacarita, Chira, Acapulco, El Roble y Arancibia.

(Nota de Sinalevi: Mediante circular N° 177 del 9 de agosto de 2021, se acordó ampliar la presente norma en cuanto incluyen los procesos no contenciosos en los que aún no se haya programado audiencia para la recepción de la prueba testimonial o el reconocimiento judicial -en los casos en que este último sea necesario- de la misma forma que se dispuso para los demás procesos.)
