AMENDMENT TO TRANSITORY PROVISION VI OF LAW 8868, AUTHORIZATION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF TRUST NO. 955 MINISTRY OF FINANCE-BANCO NACIONAL DE COSTA RICA AND TO EXPAND THE AREA OF COVERAGE TO THE ZONES SUITABLE FOR THE PLANTING AND PRODUCTION OF OIL PALM IN COSTA RICA, OF OCTOBER 15, 2010 SINGLE ARTICLE- Transitory Provision VI of Law 8868, Authorization to Extend the Term of Trust No. 955 Ministry of Finance-Banco Nacional de Costa Rica and to Expand the Area of Coverage to the Zones Suitable for the Planting and Production of Oil Palm in Costa Rica, of October 15, 2010, is hereby amended.
The text is as follows:
Transitory Provision VI- The State Phytosanitary Service shall transfer, on a single occasion, the sum of two billion colones (₡2,000,000,000) from the free surplus accumulated through 2019, which shall be administered by the trustee of the trust and shall be used to address the duties of the State, in order to strengthen the trust and the oil palm sector.
This law takes effect upon its publication.
Issued at the Presidency of the Republic, San José, on the first day of the month of March of the year two thousand twenty-one.
Let it be executed and published.
