The urban furniture existing in parks and other public spaces, which among others comprises benches or masonry benches (poyos), ranches (ranchos), children's games, trash cans, fountains, signalizations, lampposts, and decorative elements, such as ornaments and statues, must be maintained in the most adequate and aesthetic state of conservation. Those who cause deterioration to these or destroy them, whether intentionally or through improper use, must compensate for the damages and losses caused, may be reported and sanctioned according to this regulation and other current regulations. In relation to the conservation of the furniture, the following guidelines must be followed:
1. The use of benches or masonry benches in a manner contrary to their normal utilization is not permitted, nor acts that harm or deteriorate their conservation, in particular: pulling out those that are anchored in the ground, moving those that are not fixed to it, grouping them in a disorderly manner, writing on them, scratching them, painting them, or dirtying them, or any form of deterioration.
2. The permitted age range for each children's game must be respected, according to what is indicated on the signs established in this regard, not permitting their use by adults or minors who are outside the permitted range for each particular game. Neither shall the use of the games in a manner different from normal be permitted, nor any use that endangers the integrity of the minors, and/or the good conservation of the games.
3. Waste, chewing gum, papers, and other items must be deposited in the receptacles established for that purpose. Users may not manipulate the waste receptacles in any way, move them, set them on fire, overturn them, or pull them out, as well as make inscriptions on them, affix glues, or perform other acts that deteriorate their decoration or functionality.
4. On the elements of urban furniture such as lampposts, reflectors, sculptures, murals, drinking fountains, water fountains, surveillance cameras and decorative elements, meshes, gates, or enclosures, it shall not be permitted to climb on them, get on them, swing from them, paint them, write on them, or perform any act that dirties, harms, deteriorates, or diminishes their use.
5. In no case will it be permitted to use urban furniture, be it walls, ranches (ranchos), public lighting supports, public telephones, and any other element existing in Public Spaces, for the placement of propaganda or advertising.
