Con base en los lineamientos de la Organización Mundial de Sanidad Animal (OIE), se constató la ausencia de la enfermedad, por lo que se restablece el estatus sanitario y se derogan las normas de emergencia previas. Esta declaración tiene como fin facilitar la exportación de carne de pollo y sus derivados a otros países libres de la enfermedad, así como mantener la salud animal y la salud pública veterinaria.

Artículo 1º-Declárese a la totalidad del territorio nacional de la República de Costa Rica, libre de la enfermedad Newcastle Velogénico.
