in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Norm 39598 Appointment of the alternate representative of the Minister of Foreign Trade to the National Commission for Biodiversity Management Complete Text of Act: 10C897 No. 39598-MINAE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by articles 140, subsections 3) and 18), and 146 of the Political Constitution, and the Biodiversity Law No. 7788 of April 30, 1998.

CONSIDERING:

7788 of April 30, 1998, created the National Commission for Biodiversity Management as a deconcentrated body of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, with instrumental legal personality.

II.That the aforementioned Law assigns to that Commission functions concerning the conservation, ecologically sustainable use, and restoration of biodiversity, which are of vital importance for the sustainable development of the country.

III.That article 15 of the Biodiversity Law establishes the manner in which the Commission shall be integrated, according to the appointments made by the entities and organizations indicated by the law.

IV.That Executive Decree No. 29680-MINAE of July 23, 2001, published in La Gaceta No. 150 of August 7, 2001, regulates the functioning of this Commission.

V.That by Official Communication DGCE-COR-CAE-0042-2016, the Ministry of Foreign Trade requests that Katherine Arroyo Arce be appointed as alternate representative to the National Commission for Biodiversity Management, replacing Ms. Daniela Herrera Li in said position.

CONSIDERANDO:

II.Que la citada Ley le asigna a esa Comisión, funciones referentes a la conservación, el uso ecológicamente sostenible y la restauración de la biodiversidad, que son de vital importancia para el desarrollo sostenible del país.

III.Que el artículo 15 de la Ley de Biodiversidad, establece la forma en que se integrará la Comisión, de acuerdo al nombramiento realizado por los entes y organizaciones que señala la ley.

IV.Que el Decreto Ejecutivo Nº29680-MINAE del 23 de julio del 2001, publicado en La Gaceta Nº 150 del 7 de agosto del 2001, regula el funcionamiento de esta Comisión.

V.Que mediante Oficio DGCE-COR-CAE-0042-2016, el Ministerio de Comercio Exterior, solicita se nombre a Katherine Arroyo Arce, como representante suplente ante la Comisión Nacional para la Gestión de la Biodiversidad, sustituyendo a la señora Daniela Herrera Li, en dicho cargo.

DECRETAN:

Artículo 1 — To appoint as part of the members that make up the National Commission for Biodiversity Management, the following representative of the Minister of Foreign Trade:

Artículo 2 — For the purposes of the term contemplated in article 15 of the Biodiversity Law, the appointment is made for a full period of three years.

Artículo 1 — Que la Ley de Biodiversidad Nº 7788 del 30 de abril de 1998, creó la Comisión Nacional para la Gestión de la Biodiversidad como un órgano desconcentrado del Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía, con personería jurídica instrumental.

Artículo 1 — Nombrar como parte de los miembros que integran la Comisión Nacional para la Gestión de la Biodiversidad, al siguiente representante del Ministro de Comercio Exterior:

Artículo 2 — Para los efectos del plazo contemplado en el artículo 15 de la Ley de Biodiversidad, el nombramiento se realiza por un período completo de tres años.
