Therefore;1°—Que mediante el Decreto Ejecutivo No 29500-MAG del 18 de abril del 2001, se emite el decreto denominado "Crea el Comité Gerencial de Informática del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería". 2°—Que en razón del análisis derivado del Informe DFOE-EC-IF 15-2015 del 20 de abril del 2015, emitido por la Contraloría General de la República llamado "Informe de la Auditoría de Carácter Especial sobre la Gestión de los Sistemas de Información en el MAG", la Oficialía Mayor y Dirección Administrativa Financiera de este Ministerio ha determinado la obsolescencia del Comité Gerencial de Informática del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería. 3°—Que lo anterior es debido no sólo a que por diversas razones dicho Comité no ha cumplido el fin para el que fue creado, sino también a que el Acuerdo Ministerial 004-2014, además de institucionalizar el Plan Estratégico de Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (PETIC) como un instrumento de gestión integral de los sistemas de información y comunicación, delega en el Departamento de Tecnologías de Información del MAG, coordinar la ejecución del PETIC, con lo que se define una estrategia de intervención liderada por Tecnologías de Información como entidad técnica, por consiguiente realizará las principales funciones asignadas inicialmente al Comité Gerencial de Informática.
