in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Regulation 36 Creates the Bahía Drake district, sixth of the canton of Osa, province of Puntarenas Complete Text of act: EFCA1 No. 36-2012-MGP THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF GOVERNANCE AND POLICE, In accordance with the provisions of article 140, subsections 3) and 18) and 146, of the Political Constitution of Costa Rica and Law 4366 of August 5, 1969, Law on Administrative Territorial Division.
1. That in accordance with Law 4366 of August 5, 1969, Law on Administrative Territorial Division, it is the responsibility of the Executive Branch to declare the creation of districts, indicating their seats, settlements that comprise them, and their detailed boundaries.
2. That the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Osa, in session No. 38-2001 of September 21, 2011, in Chapter VIII Agreement No. 2, agreed to support the Asociación Integral de Bahía Drake in the proceedings for the creation of the sixth district, Bahía Drake, of the canton of Osa.
3. That the National Commission of Administrative Territorial Division, upon recommendation of the Technical Committee; in session on July 31, 2012, approved the creation of the Bahía Drake district, sixth of the canton of Osa, province of Puntarenas.

Begins at the confluence of the Sierpe River with the Guerra Estuary, to continue up the Guerra Estuary, upstream, until meeting the Pataste stream (quebrada Pataste), continuing now up this stream, upstream, until reaching its source (naciente); from this point, continuing along the crest line in a south-easterly direction, until reaching the elevation point of 635 meters at "Cerros Chocuaco," always along the crest line and in a south-easterly direction, connecting the elevation points of 650 meters, 610 meters, until meeting the source (naciente) of the Banegas stream in a southerly direction, continuing now down this stream downstream to its confluence with the Riyito River, continuing now up the Riyito River, downstream to its confluence with the Rincón River.
From the confluence of the Riyito River with the Rincón River, continuing upstream along the Rincón River, until reaching its confluence with the Pavón River, continuing now up the Pavón River upstream until reaching its source (naciente); from this point and along the crest line that runs in a North-Westerly direction, where the waters of the Corcovado River divide from the Vaquedano stream, reaching a point that is approximately 400 meters East of the elevation point of 590 meters; now from this point and along the crest line, in a southerly direction, continuing until meeting the source (naciente) of the Corcovado River, continuing now along the Corcovado River, downstream, then passing through the Corcovado Lagoon, and again along the Corcovado River, to end at its mouth at the Pacific Ocean.

en la totalidad del texto - Texto Completo Norma 36 Crea el distrito Bahía Drake, sexto del cantón de Osa, provincia de Puntarenas Texto Completo acta: EFCA1 Nº 36-2012-MGP LA PRESIDENTA DE LA REPÚBLICA Y EL MINISTRO GOBERNACIÓN Y POLICÍA, De conformidad con lo dispuesto en el artículo 140, incisos 3) y 18) y 146, de la Constitución Política de Costa Rica y la Ley 4366 del 05 de agosto de 1969, Ley sobre División Territorial Administrativa.
CONDIDERANDO:
1°. Que de conformidad con la Ley 4366 del 05 de agosto de 1969, Ley sobre División Territorial Administrativa, corresponde al Poder Ejecutivo declarar la creación de los distritos indicando sus cabeceras, poblados que lo forman y sus límites detallados.
2°. Que el Concejo Municipal de la Municipalidad de Osa en sesión N° 38-2001 del día 21 de setiembre del 2011, en el Capítulo VIII Acuerdo N° 2, acordó apoyar a la Asociación Integral de Bahía Drake en los trámites para la creación del distrito sexto Bahía Drake del cantón Osa.
3°. Que la Comisión Nacional de División Territorial Administrativa, por recomendación del Comité Técnico; en sesión del día 31 de julio del 2012, aprobó la creación del distrito Bahía Drake, sexto del cantón Osa, provincia Puntarenas.
ACUERDAN:

1:50 000, editadas por el Instituto Geográfico Nacional y denominadas; Sierpe (1° edición, año 1965), Rincón (2° edición, año 1979), Llorona (1° edición, año 1965) y Golfo Dulce (1° edición, año 1964), este distrito tendrá la siguiente descripción de límites.
Inicia, en la confluencia del río Sierpe con el estero Guerra, para continuar por el estero Guerra aguas arriba, hasta encontrarse con la quebrada Pataste, se continúa ahora por esta quebrada aguas arriba, hasta llegar a su naciente, desde este punto, se continúa por la línea de cresta en dirección sur-este, hasta llegar al punto de elevación de los 635 metros en "Cerros Chocuaco", siempre por la línea de cresta y en dirección sur-este, uniendo los puntos de elevación de 650 metros, 610 metros, hasta encontrarse con la naciente de la quebrada Banegas en dirección sur, continuando ahora por esta quebrada aguas abajo hasta su confluencia con el río Riyito, se continúa ahora por el rio Riyito, aguas abajo hasta su confluencia con el río Rincón.
Desde la confluencia del río Riyito con el río Rincón, se continúa aguas arriba por el río Rincón, hasta llegar a su confluencia con el río Pavón, continuando ahora por el río Pavón aguas arriba hasta llegar a su naciente, desde este punto y por la línea de cresta que va en dirección Norte-Oeste, donde se dividen las aguas del río Corcovado con la quebrada Vaquedano, se llega a un punto que está a 400 metros al Este, aproximadamente del punto de elevación de los 590 metros, ahora desde este punto y por la línea de cresta, en dirección sur, se continúa hasta encontrarse con la naciente del río Corcovado, continuando ahora por el río Corcovado, aguas abajo, pasando luego por la laguna Corcovado, y nuevamente por el río Corcovado, para finalizar en su desembocadura con el Océano Pacífico.
Desde la desembocadura del río Corcovado en el Océano Pacífico, se continua ahora por el litoral en dirección norte hasta llegar a la boca del río Sierpe, se continúa por el río Sierpe aguas arriba hasta su confluencia con el estero Guerra, que es el punto de inicio de la presente descripción.
Se declara oficial el mapa de este distrito que el mismo prepare.
