Este permiso temporal tendrá una vigencia máxima de tres meses, plazo en el cual el armador debe gestionar la compatibilidad con el sistema de INCOPESCA. La medida busca no interrumpir las operaciones pesqueras mientras se soluciona el problema técnico, manteniendo el control y monitoreo de las actividades en la zona económica exclusiva. Full Text of minutes: DC456 Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture A.J.D.I.P./164-2011.-Puntarenas, on the sixth day of May, 2011.
AGREES:
1º-When compatibility problems arise between the Satellite Tracking and Monitoring System used by INCOPESCA and the system used by those vessels wishing to obtain a tuna fishing license, the license may be granted, provided that the shipowner can certify that they have an alternative Satellite Tracking System, duly verified by INCOPESCA, and that the necessary security codes allowing access to said system are provided to it.
2º-The recognition of this Tracking System shall be granted on a one-time, temporary basis for a maximum period of 3 calendar months, during which time the shipowner or interested party, together with the Satellite Tracking System provider, must make the necessary adjustments to establish the corresponding compatibility with the system used by INCOPESCA.
3º-Final Agreement.
4º-Let it be published.

ACUERDA:
1º-Cuando se presenten problemas de compatibilidad entre el Sistema de Seguimiento y Monitoreo Satelital utilizado por el INCOPESCA y el utilizado por aquellas embarcaciones deseen obtener una licencia de pesca de atún; se podrá otorgar la misma, siempre y cuando logre acreditarse por parte del armador que cuenta con un Sistema de Seguimiento Satelital alternativo, debidamente comprobado por el INCOPESCA y le sean suministrados a ésta los códigos de seguridad necesarios que permitan el acceso a dicho sistema.
2º-El reconocimiento de este Sistema de Seguimiento se hará por una única vez con carácter de temporal por un período máximo de 3 meses calendario, tiempo en el cual el armador o interesado con el proveedor del Sistema Seguimiento Satelital deberá realizar los ajustes necesarios para establecer la compatibilidad correspondiente con el sistema que utiliza el INCOPESCA.
