in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Rule 36075 Declaration of Public Interest of the "XIII Congreso Agropecuario y Forestal CONACROF 2010" Complete Text record: D12DB Nº 36075-MICIT THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY In exercise of the powers conferred by subsections 3) and 18) of Article 140 and Article 146 of the Political Constitution; subsection 2.b) of Article 28 and related articles of the General Law on Public Administration, Law Nº 6227 of May 2, 1978; the Law for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development, Law Nº 7169 of June 26, 1990; and

1That the Colegio de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Costa Rica, in coordination with other national and international bodies and institutions, will hold from August 4 to 6, 2010, in San José, Costa Rica, the "XIII Congreso Agropecuario y Forestal CONAGROF 2010", considered the major training event carried out by the Colegio.
2That it will be held under the theme "creativity and innovation for agricultural and forestry development," which seeks to bring to the activity a greater presence of producers and professionals who interact to strengthen dialogue, discussion, and technological updating.
3That the activity will feature national and foreign speakers, experts recognized for their trajectory in the thematic areas to be developed, as well as the representation of producers, organizations, private enterprise, public institutions, and universities, among others.
4That the Congress is structured to take place within eleven current and relevant thematic areas, namely: technological advances in phytoprotection, biotechnological impacts on production, good agricultural practices, forestry challenges for the new decade, new paradigms of rural society, conservation and sustainable production, agricultural and forestry innovation and production, challenges for the better use of soils, dynamics of the agricultural and livestock economy, overview of the livestock sector, and new paradigms of professional practice.
5That in accordance with Article 8 of the Law for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development, Nº 7169, all non-profit scientific and technological activities carried out by the entities that are part of the National System of Science and Technology are of public interest.

1Que el Colegio de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Costa Rica, en coordinación con otros organismos e instituciones nacionales e internacionales, celebrarán del 4 a 6 de agosto del año 2010, en San José, Costa Rica, el "XIII Congreso Agropecuario y Forestal CONAGROF 2010", considerado como el magno evento de capacitación que realiza el Colegio.
2Que el mismo se desarrollará bajo el lema "creatividad e innovación para el desarrollo agropecuario y forestal", con el cual se busca unir a la actividad una mayor presencia de productores y profesionales que interactúen para fortalecer el dialogo, discusión y la actualización tecnológica.
3Que la actividad contará con conferencistas nacionales y extranjeros, expertos y reconocidos por su trayectoria en las áreas temáticas a desarrollar, así como con la representación de productores, organizaciones, empresa privada, instituciones públicas y universidades, entre otros.
4Que el Congreso está estructurado para desarrollarse dentro de once áreas temáticas de actualidad e interés, a saber: avances tecnológicos en fitoprotección, impactos biotecnológicos en la producción, buenas prácticas agrícolas, desafíos forestales para la nueva década, nuevos paradigmas de la sociedad rural, conservación y producción sustentable, innovación y producción agropecuaria y forestal, retos para el mejor aprovechamiento de los suelos, dinámica de la economía agrícola y pecuaria, panorama del sector pecuario y nuevos paradigmas del ejercicio profesional.
5Que de conformidad con el artículo 8º de la Ley de Promoción del Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico, Nº 7169, todas las actividades científicas y tecnológicas sin fines de lucro, realizadas por las entidades que forman parte del Sistema Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, son de interés público.
