- in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Regulation 35967 Declares of public interest, the world rafting championship called “Turrialba Sostenible, Costa Rica 2011” Complete Text of act: CF3ED N° 35967-MP-TUR THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC THE MINISTER OF THE PRESIDENCY, AND THE MINISTER OF TOURISM Based on the attributions and powers conferred in articles 11, 140, subsections 3) and 18) and 146 of the Political Constitution and articles 4, 11, 15, 21, 27, and 28 of the General Law of the Public Administration, Law No. 6227 of May 2, 1978.
- Becoming a window for the worldwide promotion of Costa Rica, by having the participation of close to 60 teams from different parts of the world. It is estimated that 10 countries from Asia, 27 countries from Europe, 2 from North America, 10 from Latin America, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Africa will be participating.
- This activity, by producing extensive promotion of Costa Rica and Turrialba, will cause in the medium term an influx of greater tourist visitation, not only from new markets, but also a greater consolidation of existing markets, in the line of action of Costa Rica as a differentiated tourist destination, the foregoing due to the extensive coverage of approximately 100 television media outlets, newspapers, and sports magazines.
- That added to the foregoing, the Championship will be developed under an organizational design of conservation and environmental friendliness, which demonstrates the country’s commitment to international environmental agreements for the mitigation and compensation of carbon emissions (CO2).

Done at the Presidency of the Republic, on the seventh day of the month of April of two thousand ten.

- Constituirse en una ventana a la promoción de Costa Rica a nivel mundial, al contar con la participación de cerca de 60 equipos, de diferentes partes del mundo. Se estima que estarán participando 10 países de Asia, 27 países de Europa, 2 de Norteamérica, 10 de Latinoamérica, Sur África, Zimbawe y África.
- Esta actividad al producir una amplia promoción de Costa Rica y Turrialba, ocasionará a mediano plazo, la afluencia de mayor visitación turística, no solo de mercados nuevos, si no también mayor consolidación de mercados existentes, en la línea de acción de Costa Rica como destino turístico diferenciado, lo anterior debido a la extensa cobertura de aproximadamente 100 medios de comunicación televisiva, periódicos y revistas deportivas.
- Que aunado a lo anterior, el Campeonato se desarrollará, bajo un diseño organizativo de conservación y de amigabilidad con el ambiente, lo cual demuestra el compromiso del país con los acuerdos internacionales ambientales de mitigación y compensación de las emisiones de carbono (CO2).
