in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Regulation 35231 Declares of Public Utility for the interests of the State the Unión de Asociaciones Griegas por el Ambiente y la Salud (UNAGUAS) Complete Text of record: C5C5B Nº 35231-J Nº 35231-J THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE Based on the provisions of articles 140, subsection 18) and 146 of the Constitución Política, article 32 of the Ley de Asociaciones, and articles 27 and following of its Reglamento.
I.-That article 32 of the Ley de Asociaciones number 218 of August eighth, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine and its amendments, grants the Executive Branch the power to declare of Public Utility those simple, federated, or confederated Associations whose development and activities are particularly useful for the interests of the State, and which thereby contribute to addressing a social need.
II.-That the Unión de Asociaciones Griegas por el Ambiente y la Salud (UNAGUAS), legal entity identification number 3-002-352862, was registered in the Associations Registry of the Public Registry as of August twenty-eighth, two thousand three, under file number Nº 15691.
III.-That the purposes pursued by the Association, according to article three of its Bylaws, are: "(...) Article three: (...) A) Conservation and acquisition of land for the conservation of the national heritage that harbors Natural Resources and Forested Zones of the canton of Grecia. B) Collaborating in the conservation of the hydrographic basins and aquifer recharge zones of the canton of Grecia. C) Acquisition of land, conservation, and protection of spring zones of the canton of Grecia. D) Conservation of rivers and their tributaries in the canton of Grecia. E) Providing and receiving advisory services in relation to the aforementioned purposes in coordination with the Instituto Costarricense de Acueductos y Alcantarillados, MINAET, the Ministry of Health, and any other related Institution. F) Seeking the well-being of each of the member Associations (...)".
IV.-That such purposes address a social need of the highest order, for which reason they deserve the support of the Costa Rican State. Por tanto,

I.-Que el artículo 32 de la Ley de Asociaciones número 218 de ocho de agosto de mil novecientos treinta y nueve y sus reformas, confiere al Poder Ejecutivo la potestad de declarar de Utilidad Pública a las Asociaciones simples, federadas o confederadas, cuyo desarrollo y actividades sean particularmente útiles para los intereses del Estado, y que por ello contribuyan a solventar una necesidad social.
II.-Que la Unión de Asociaciones Griegas por el Ambiente y la Salud (UNAGUAS), cédula de persona jurídica número 3-002-352862, se inscribió en el Registro de Asociaciones del Registro Público desde el día veintiocho de agosto del dos mil tres, bajo el expediente Nº 15691.
III.-Que los fines que persigue la Asociación, según el artículo tercero de sus Estatutos, son: "(...) Artículo tercero: (...) A) Conservación y adquisición de terrenos para la conservación del patrimonio nacional que alberguen Recursos Naturales y Zonas Boscosas del cantón de Grecia. B) Coadyudar en la conservación de las cuencas Hidrográficas y zonas de Recarga aguífera del cantón de Grecia. C) Adquisición de terrenos, conservación y protección de zonas de nacientes del cantón de Grecia. D) Conservación de ríos y sus afluentes del cantón de Grecia. E) Brindar y recibir asesoría en relación con los fines antes citados en coordinación con el Instituto Costarricense de Acueductos y Alcantarillados, MINAET, Ministerio de Salud y cualquier otra Institución afín. F) Buscar el bienestar de cada una de las Asociaciones miembros (...)".
IV.-Que tales fines solventan una necesidad social de primer orden, por lo cual merecen el apoyo del Estado Costarricense. Por tanto,
