in the entirety of the text - Full Text of Regulation 34619 Declares of public utility for the interests of the State the Indigenous Peasant Coordinating Association for Community Agroforestry Full Text of record: BC92D Nº 34619-J Nº 34619-J THE FIRST VICE PRESIDENT IN EXERCISE OF THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE Based on the provisions of articles 140, subsection 18) and 146 of the Political Constitution, article 32 of the Law of Associations, and articles 27 and following of its Regulation.
I.-That article 32 of Law of Associations Nº 218 of 08-08-39 and its amendments, grants the Executive Branch the power to declare of Public Utility simple, federated, or confederated Associations, whose development and activities are particularly useful for the interests of the State, and that thereby contribute to meeting a social need.
II.-That the Indigenous Peasant Coordinating Association for Community Agroforestry, legal entity ID number Nº 3-002-228864, was registered in the Registry of Associations of the Public Registry since the fourteenth day of September, nineteen ninety-eight, under file number Nº 10.055.
III.-That the purposes pursued by the Association, according to article four of its Bylaws, are: "... A.- To support the generation of political decisions by peasant and indigenous organizations in the area to facilitate their participation in the management of local power and influencing political and technical decisions at the local, national, and regional levels, related to natural resources, enabling the effective vertical and horizontal integration of peasants and indigenous people in the area. III.-Que los fines que persigue la Asociación, según el artículo cuarto de sus Estatutos, son: "... A.- Apoyar la generación de decisiones políticas de las organizaciones de campesinos e indígenas del área para facilitar su participación en la gestión del poder local e incidiendo en las decisiones políticas y técnicas en ámbito local, nacional, y regional, relacionadas con los recursos naturales, que permitan la eficaz integración vertical y horizontal del campesino y el indígena del área. B.- Apoyar a las organizaciones indígenas y campesinas afines a CICAFOC a consolidar los procesos iniciados a nivel local para vincularlos con los programas nacionales y regionales que garanticen al campesino e indígena, el acceso a la tierra, al uso y manejo de los recursos naturales, financieros y técnicos, así como participación en los procesos de comercialización e industrialización de sus productos. Lo anterior en el marco del desarrollo sostenible, manejo, co-manejo de áreas protegidas, concesiones comunitarias, planes de manejo y agroforestería. C.- Promover y fortalecer el conocimiento ancestral que tienen los pueblos indígenas en el uso y manejo de los recursos naturales y su territorio."
