RESOLUTION No. 175-2006 (COMIECO-XXXVIII) THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
That in accordance with the Protocol to the General Treaty on Central American Economic Integration -Protocol of Guatemala-, the Council of Ministers of Economic Integration (COMIECO) has under its competence the matters of Central American Economic Integration and, as such, it is responsible for approving the administrative acts of the Economic Subsystem; That through Resolution No. 117-2004 (COMIECO) adopted on June 28, 2004, the Council approved, within the framework of the Customs Union establishment process, important agreements on sanitary measures, and in Annex 1 of said Resolution exempted the products and by-products of plant origin listed in the aforementioned Annex from the procedures for obtaining an import authorization and a phytosanitary certificate for export; That the Meeting of Vice Ministers examined the inclusion of additional products proposed by the Subgroup on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures and the Directors of Economic Integration, recommending their approval by the Council,
Based on the provisions in Articles 1, 7, 15, 26, 30, 36, 37, 38, 46, 52, and 55 of the Protocol of Guatemala,
1. To modify by total substitution Annex 1 of Resolution No. 117-2004 (COMIECO) dated June 28, 2004, which shall be as it appears in the Annex to this Resolution.
2. This Resolution shall enter into force 30 days after the present date and shall be published by the States Parties.
