The information sets for construction, remodeling, or earthworks projects, whether plans, documents, drawings, contracts, forms, or similar, must be submitted to the Urban Development Department of the Municipality for review for the corresponding permit. One of the sets must be presented in a standard hard-cover binder format, legal size, with the following requirements:
- a)The plans must come in a reduced format on bond 20 size (86.5 x 56 cms.) and be folded to conform to the size of the hard-cover binder, in such a way that the title block is visible on the right margin, for easy location of the sheet contents.
- b)The project name as well as the owner's name must be written on the cover of the binder and on its upper spine.
- c)For projects occupying more than one binder for their submission, these must be numbered according to the plan numbering and indicated as such on the spine of each binder.
- d)In cases of small projects not requiring more than five presentation sheets, these may be submitted in thinner hard-cover binders than the standard ones, but always in legal size.
- e)Additionally, the complete project must be submitted in "diskette" format.
The Urban Development Department will have available a model hard-cover binder for consultation by interested parties and copies showing the steps to follow for folding the plans.
No application for a permit for construction, remodeling, demolition, or earthworks will be received without the complete documentation and presentation required by this Regulation, except for construction or remodeling projects that, due to their low complexity and cost, do not require the above presentation and are considered minor works.
A minor work is considered to be a construction of up to 30 square meters. Excluded are those located in hazardous or conflicted areas, or those with very complex structural and architectural solutions requiring a more detailed study process. In these cases, the application must meet the same requirements as the license for earthworks.
The set of plans in reduced format as well as the information on "diskette" shall be kept in the municipal archive.
