Therefore, in accordance with the provisions of the cited regulations and the General Law of Municipal District Councils, given that the location of the maritime-terrestrial zone of the canton of Abangares corresponds to the District of Colorado, the Municipality of Abangares, in use of its legal powers, agrees to grant the authority for the care and conservation of the maritime-terrestrial zone and its natural resources within its jurisdiction to the Municipal District Council of Colorado de Abangares, as well as the custody and administration of said zone, not reduced to private domain, consequently granting to the Municipal District Council of Colorado de Abangares the authority to request the respective demarcation (amojonamiento) before the Instituto Geográfico Nacional, to carry out coastal regulatory plans, in accordance with the current Legal System, to recommend and grant concessions, whose contracts must be authorized by agreement of the Municipal District Council of Colorado de Abangares and signed by the District Manager of the Municipal District Council of Colorado; to agree upon and grant use permits, to collect the respective fee (canon) for concessions granted and registered in the General Registry of Concessions and for the occupation of parcels located within the maritime-terrestrial zone, in accordance with article 59) and Transitory Provision VII, respectively, of the aforementioned Law.
Likewise, the income generated by the application of the Law on the Maritime-Terrestrial Zone, in the coastal zone under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Abangares, located within the District of Colorado, shall be distributed in accordance with article 59 subsections a), b), and c) of the cited law, in concordance with articles 1), 2), and 6) subsection e) of the Real Property Tax Law, number seven thousand five hundred nine, of the ninth of May nineteen hundred ninety-five, regarding the collection of the fee (canon) for the land given in concession, and the collection of the cited tax on the installations or fixed constructions existing thereon, which shall be collected and administered by the Municipal District Council of Colorado.
