1That in response to resolution C-03-03 of the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission, the Board of Directors adopted agreement AJDIP/365-2003, regarding the establishment of closed areas for the capture and extraction of the tuna resource.
2That during the 71st meeting of the IATTC, held in La Jolla, California, USA, held during the 6th-7th of October of this year, resolution C-03-12 was agreed upon, on Conservation of tuna in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, an aspect that motivates this board to modify and adjust the aforementioned agreement, to the scope and terms of this new resolution.

1Que en atención a la resolución C-03-03 de la Comisión Interamericana del Atún Tropical, la Junta Directiva adoptó el acuerdo AJDIP/365-2003, referente al establecimientos de áreas de veda para la captura y extracción del recurso del atún.

Amendment on Tuna Conservation in the Pacific OceanReforma sobre la Conservación del Atún en el Océano Pacífico

Artículo 1 — Amend article 2 of agreement AJDIP/365-2003, so that it henceforth reads as follows:

Artículo 2 — Instructions are issued to the Protection and Registration Department to the effect that it rectify and notify the modification made in accordance with the present agreement, which includes the licenses issued during the months of October and November.

Artículo 3 — Agreement AJDIP/459-2003 is rendered without effect.

Artículo 4 — Publish.

Artículo 1 — Modifíquese el artículo 2º del acuerdo AJDIP/365-2003, para que en lo sucesivo se lea de la siguiente manera:

Artículo 2 — Se gira instrucciones al Departamento de Protección y Registro a efecto de que rectifique y notifique la modificación realizada de conformidad con el presente acuerdo, que incluye las licencias emitidas durante los meses de octubre y noviembre.

Artículo 3 — Se deja sin efecto el acuerdo AJDIP/459-2003.

Artículo 4 — Publíquese.
