in the entirety of the text - Full Text of Law 30576 Declares of national interest the 27th of September of the year 2002, World Tourism Day with the theme Ecotourism, key to sustainable development Full Text of record: 549D6 No. 30576-MP-TUR-MINAE-MEP-C No. 30576-MP-TUR-MINAE-MEP-C THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, THE MINISTER OF THE PRESIDENCY, THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, THE MINISTER OF CULTURE, YOUTH AND SPORTS, THE MINISTER OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY, AND THE MINISTER OF TOURISM Exercising the powers granted under subsections 3), 18), and 20) of Article 140 of the Political Constitution, and Article 25, subsection 1) of the General Public Administration Act.
1.—That the socio-economic activity of tourism was declared of national interest and high priority through Decreto Ejecutivo No. 30455-P-TUR-MOPT-H-SP, published in Alcance No. 38 to La Gaceta No. 91 of the past 14th of May.
2.—That in the month of September 2002, a series of events of great relevance to national and international tourism will take place in our country, among them, the launch of the National Sustainable Tourism Development Plan 2002-2012, the national tourism congress to be held on the 3rd and 4th of September, the Ecotourism forum on the 17th of September, the event known as "Travel Mart Latin America" on the 26th and 27th of September, and the meeting of the World Committee on Sustainable Development of Tourism of the World Tourism Organization, which Costa Rica chairs, will be held on the 25th and 26th of September.
3.—That the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization, in resolution No. 439 adopted at its fourteenth meeting in Japan, decided to select the theme "Ecotourism, key to sustainable development" for the twentieth edition of World Tourism Day to be held in Costa Rica.
4.—That the World Tourism Organization, in the aforementioned resolution, also decided to officially celebrate the 27th of September 2002, World Tourism Day, in Costa Rica. Therefore,
