- a)The Minister of Environment and Energy or their representative. They shall also be the President of the Commission and responsible for its proper functioning.
- b)The Minister of Agriculture or their representative.
- c)The Minister of Health or their representative.
- d)The Executive Director of the National System of Conservation Areas.
- e)A representative of the Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
- f)A representative of the National Peasant Board Association.
- g)A representative of the National Indigenous Board Association.
- h)A representative of the National Council of Rectors.
- i)A representative of the Costa Rican Federation for Environmental Conservation.
- j)A representative of the Costa Rican Union of Private Enterprise Chambers.
Each sector composing the Commission shall independently appoint its representative and an alternate for a term of three years. If a member were absent without due justification for three consecutive sessions, their hierarchical superior shall be requested to provide a definitive replacement for both the principal and the alternate.
Principals and alternates have the right to attend sessions, with a voice, but the vote shall be exclusively that of the principal. If only the alternate appears, they shall assume the status of principal.
