throughout the entire text - Complete Text of Regulation 29237 Regulation for the Use of the Logbook in the Professional Practice of the Biologist Complete Text record: 3BED3 No. 29237-MINAE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY In exercise of the powers conferred by subsections 3) and 18) of article 140 of the Political Constitution and in compliance with the Organic Environmental Law and the Wildlife Conservation Law.
1.—The need for professional biologists incorporated into the Colegio de Biólogos to have adequate legal norms so that the impact of their professional action on the environment and the national economy is positive and sustainable.
2.—That the creation of special norms that seek an adequate technology transfer must be promoted, for the benefit of a supervised management for responsible national scientific development.
3.—That in Laws Nos. 7554, Organic Environmental Law, and 7317, Wildlife Conservation Law, a commitment is foreseen that falls to the Colegio de Biólogos de Costa Rica and its incorporated members, as they are jointly and severally co-responsible for the protection and conservation of the environment, as enshrined in article 50 of the Political Constitution of the Republic.

Any other record by other entities or organizations does not substitute the logbook (bitácora).
When the logbook (bitácora) is used for more than one activity, the annotations shall be entered on separate folios.
It shall be renewed each year or when, before the term expires, the folios are exhausted. The folios used shall be sealed quarterly during the first half of the immediately following month, this being a mandatory requirement for the delivery of a new logbook (bitácora). The Office of the Prosecutor (fiscalía) shall keep individualized control of the logbooks (bitácoras).

1º—En la necesidad que los profesionales biólogos incorporados al Colegio de Biólogos, dispongan de normas jurídicas adecuadas para que la incidencia de su acción profesional en el ambiente como la economía nacional, sea positiva y sostenible.

Decretan:
Cualquier otro registro por otras entidades u organizaciones, no sustituye la bitácora.
Cuando la bitácora se utilice en más de una actividad, las anotaciones serán consignadas en folios separados.
Será renovada cada año o cuando sin vencer el plazo, se agoten los folios. Los folios utilizados serán sellados trimestralmente en la primera quincena del mes, inmediatamente siguiente siendo requisito obligatorio para la entrega de una nueva bitácora. La fiscalía llevará el control individualizado de las bitácoras.
