in the entirety of the text - Complete Text of Regulation 29147 Amendment to the Regulation of the Forestry Law Complete Text of act: ABA6A (This decree was repealed by article 6 of executive decree No. 33815 of February 15, 2007) No. 29147-MINAE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC AND THE MINISTER OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by article 140, subsections 3) and 18) of the Political Constitution and in accordance with the provisions of the Forestry Law No. 7575 published in Supplement No. 21 to La Gaceta No. 72 of Tuesday, April 16, 1996.
Considering:
7575, published in Supplement No. 21 to La Gaceta No. 72 of April 16, 1996, its article 1 establishes the essential and priority function of the State to ensure the conservation, protection, and administration of natural forests, the harvesting, industrialization, and promotion of the country's forest resources destined for that purpose, in accordance with the principle of adequate and sustainable use of renewable natural resources.
7575 of April 6, 1996, establishes in subsection o) that it is the competence of the State Forestry Administration (Administración Forestal del Estado) to grant licenses for forest certifiers, at the proposal of a Commission composed of representatives of recognized academic and scientific entities, national and foreign, prominent in environmental matters. This Commission is also entrusted with regulating and overseeing the system of green seals or forest certifications.

N° 29147-MINAE EL PRESIDENTE DE LA REPUBLICA Y LA MINISTRA DEL AMBIENTE Y ENERGIA En ejercicio de las facultades que les confieren el articulo 140, incisos 3) y 18) de la Constitucion Publica y de conformidad con lo dispuesto en la Ley Forestal N° 7575 publicada en el Alcance N° 21 a La Gaceta N° 72 del martes 16 de abril de 1996.
Considerando:
A esta Comision, tambien, se le encomendar regular y vigilar el sistema de sellos verdes o certificaciones forestales.
Por tanto, Decretan:
En caso de renuncia, separación del cargo, o cualquier otro supuesto, el nombramiento del sustituto se realizará por el periódo faltante, siguiéndose el mismo procedimiento de trena establecido en este artículo.
