A. Act of God and force majeure (Caso fortuito y fuerza mayor): This is an extraordinary event beyond the Administration's control. In the case of force majeure, this extraordinary event originates from nature, while in the case of an act of God, it originates from human actions.
B. Council (Concejo): Municipal Council of the Municipality of Naranjo.
C. Disposal of materials (Disposición de materiales): Refers to the different contractual procedures that allow the Municipality to sell, exchange, or barter the different materials extracted from the quarries concessioned to the Municipality of Naranjo, according to its convenience.
D. Environmental impact assessment (Evaluación de impacto ambiental): Scientific-technical study carried out by professionals in the field, which allows for identifying and predicting the effects that a specific project will produce, quantifying and weighing them if necessary.
E. Extracted material (Material extraído): Refers to all types of aggregates resulting from the extraction process in the quarries concessioned in favor of the Municipality of Naranjo.
F. Extracted cubic meter (Metro cúbico extraído): Unit of volume of extraction, equivalent to the volume of a cube with 1 meter sides.
G. Municipality (Municipalidad): Municipality of Naranjo.
H. Applicant (Persona solicitante): Natural or legal person who requests a procedure for the acquisition of any type of material extracted from quarries concessioned to the Municipality of Naranjo.
I.Price (Precio): The price is the amount of money paid for the acquisition of a good or service, thus reflecting the value that consumers are willing to pay and what producers are willing to accept.
J. Material disposal procedures (Procedimientos de disposición de materiales): Different alternatives for delivering materials extracted from the quarries concessioned to the municipality to third parties, namely: sale and exchange or barter.
K. Market value (Valor de mercado): For the purposes of this regulation, refers to the price survey that allows the Municipality to explore the market in the area in order to determine its price structure at a specific point in time.
