PROTOCOL AMENDING THE MARRAKESH AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION AGREEMENT ON FISHERIES SUBSIDIES.

It is the responsibility of the Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Incopesca), in accordance with the competencies established in Ley 7384, of March 16, 1994, to execute the powers established for Members in Articles 4 and 5 of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies referred to in Article 1 of this law. The foregoing is without prejudice to Incopesca being responsible for executing other powers established for Members in said Agreement.

I have the honor to send you herewith an authenticated copy of the Protocol Amending the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization, Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, done at Geneva on June 17, 2022 (the "Protocol"), in accordance with paragraph 5 of the Protocol.

In accordance with paragraph 4 of the Protocol and Article X.3 of the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization (the "WTO Agreement"), the Protocol shall take effect for Members that have accepted it 21 Including the rules and procedures of the after its acceptance by two thirds of the Members, and thereafter for each other Member upon its acceptance by it.

Pursuant to paragraph 1 of the Protocol, Annex 1A of the WTO Agreement shall be amended, upon the entry into force of the Protocol in accordance with its paragraph 4, by the insertion of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, which appears in the Annex to this Protocol, to be placed after the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures.

I hereby confirm that the certified true copy (authenticated) of the Protocol Amending the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization, Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, done at Geneva on June 17, 2022, was distributed to the Members of the World Trade Organization on July 13, 2022, under document WT/Let/1580.

As indicated on the final page of the certified true copy (authenticated) of the Protocol distributed and signed by the Director-General, she, in her capacity as Depositary, stated:

PROTOCOLO DE ENMIENDA DEL ACUERDO DE MARRAKECH POR EL QUE SE ESTABLECE LA ORGANIZACIÓN MUNDIAL DEL COMERCIO ACUERDO SOBRE SUBVENCIONES A LA PESCA.

(Nota de Sinalevi: Por tener articulado propio el Protocolo de enmienda del acuerdo de Marrakech por el se establece la organización mundial del comercio acuerdo sobre subvenciones a la pesca, puede consultarse en el siguiente Enlace)

Corresponde al Instituto Costarricense de Pesca y Acuicultura (lncopesca), de conformidad con las competencias establecidas en la Ley 7384, del 16 de marzo de 1994, ejecutar las facultades establecidas a los miembros en los artículos 4 y 5 del Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones a la Pesca que se refiere en el artículo 1 de la presente ley. Lo anterior sin perjuicio de que a lncopesca le corresponda ejecutar otras facultades establecidas a los miembros en dicho Acuerdo.

Certifico que el texto que antecede es copia confirme del Protocolo de enmienda del Acuerdo de Marrakech por el que se establece la Organización Mundial del Comercio, Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones a la Pesca, hecho en Ginebra, el 17 de junio de 2022, cuyo texto original está depositado en poder de la Directora General de la Organización Mundial del Comercio .

Protocolo de enmienda del acuerdo de Marrakech por el que se establece la organización mundial del comercio, acuerdo sobre subvenciones a la pesca, hecho en ginebra el 17 de junio de 2022 envío de copia autenticada.

Tengo el honor de enviarle por la presente una copia autenticada del Protocolo de Enmienda del Acuerdo de Marrakech por el que se establece la Organización Mundial del Comercio, Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones a la Pesca, hecho en Ginebra el 17 de junio de 2022 (el "Protocolo"), de conformidad con el párrafo 5 del Protocolo.

De conformidad con el párrafo 4 del Protocolo y el artículo X.3 del Acuerdo de Marrakech por el que se establece la Organización Mundial del Comercio (el "Acuerdo sobre la OMC"), el Protocolo surtirá efecto para los Miembros que lo hayan aceptado 21 Incluidas las normas y los procedimientos de las tras su aceptación por dos tercios de los Miembros, y después, para cada uno de los demás Miembros, tras su aceptación por él.

Con arreglo al párrafo 1 del Protocolo, el Anexo 1A del Acuerdo sobre la OMC será enmendado, en el momento en que entre en vigor el Protocolo de conformidad con su párrafo 4, mediante la incorporación del Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones a la Pesca que figura en el Anexo del presente Protocolo y que se insertará después del Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones y Medidas Compensatorias.

Mediante la presente confirmo que la copia conforme (autenticada) del Protocolo de enmienda del Acuerdo de Marrakech por el que se Establece la Organización Mundial del Comercio, Acuerdo sobre Subvenciones a la Pesca, hecho en Ginebra el 17 de junio de 2022, fue distribuida a los Miembros de la Organización Mundial del Comercio el 13 de julio de 2022, mediante el documento WT/Let/1580.

Tal como indica en la página final de la copia conforme (autenticada) del Protocolo distribuida y firmada por la Directora-General, ella, en su calidad de Depositario señaló:
