I.-That the Legislative Assembly, through Law number 10372 of the fourteenth of November of two thousand twenty-three, published in Scope number two hundred fifty-six of Digital Gazette number two hundred thirty-seven of the twenty-first of December of two thousand twenty-three, approved the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Annex, adopted on October 29, 2010, at the Tenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties, held in Nagoya, Japan.
II.-That the aforementioned Protocol shall enter into force on the ninetieth day after the date on which said State or regional economic integration organization has deposited its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval, or accession, or on the date on which the Convention enters into force for that State or regional economic integration organization, if that second date is later. Therefore; In exercise of the powers conferred upon them by subsections 10 and 12 of Article 140 and Article 146 of the Political Constitution of the Republic of Costa Rica.

l.-Que la Asamblea Legislativa mediante Ley número 10372 del día catorce de noviembre de dos mil veintitrés publicada en el Alcance número doscientos cincuenta y seis de la Gaceta Digital número doscientos treinta y siete del veintiuno de diciembre de dos mil veintitrés, aprobó el Protocolo de Nagoya sobre Acceso a los Recursos Genéticos y Participación Justa y Equitativa en los Beneficios que se Deriven de su Utilización al Convenio sobre la Diversidad Biológica y su Anexo, adoptado el 29 de octubre de 2010, en la Décima Reunión de la Conferencia de las Partes, celebrada en Nagoya, Japón.
ll.-Que el mencionado Protocolo entrará en vigor el nonagésimo día contado a partir de la fecha en que dicho Estado u organización regional de integración económica haya depositado su instrumento de ratificación, aceptación, aprobación o adhesión, o en la fecha en que el Convenio entre en vigor para ese Estado u organización regional de integración económica, si esa segunda fecha fuera posterior. Por tanto; En uso de las facultades que les confieren los incisos 10 y 12 del artículo 140 y el artículo 146 de la Constitución Política de la República de Costa Rica.
